Jul 22, 2010
I know I'm a few weeks late but I figure getting as much sleep as possible would probably be better than blogging! My little bundle of joy made his way to the world on July 10,2010.
I knew I was going to have baby early but I didn't anticipate three weeks early. I was exactly 37 weeks which means I was considered full term. He couldn't have come at a better time. The night before I was having a hard time and had my first official break down.
I even cried. I was just feeling awful and much to my surprise my baby knew. My water broke at seven in the morning that Saturday and it took us an hour to finally leave to the hospital just to make sure my hair was combed and that my eyebrows were plucked. Such a weirdo, I know but I had to make sure I looked decent! We waited all day for me to finally dilate to a ten but once I was, it took less than five minutes for my beautiful baby boy to make his debut entrance into the world. Surprisingly my husband and I didn't cry.
I thought he was going to but we had a bunch of comedians in the room so baby entered the world in a great, stress- free environment! We left the crying to Auntie Lessa. She wasn't there for my first labor because she had something going on in school and by the time she got to the hospital, Hola had been born for a few hours so this time around I wanted her to experience this beautiful and miraculous thing. Big brother Hola waited in the waiting room with Auntie Mariel. He asked me why he couldn't be in the room when baby Jack was born. I told him he'd have to wait until he finds a wife!! I feel so blessed to have been married to such a great man and to have a baby within the same year. I look back at the last few years of my life and I know that this was exactly the time the Lord wanted it all to happen. I can't believe how impatient I was in looking for a companion because it worked out perfectly. My boys are truly blessed to have such a great father and example in their lives. I am very fortunate to have these boys in my life. I can't imagine life without them and I thank God everyday to be able to be called their mother.
Baby Fa'auuga Tima Reupena entered the world on July 10, 2010 at 6:48 PM weighing in at 7 lbs. 7 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. My doctor said that if he would've come on my due date which was the 31st of July he would've been a nine pound baby so thank you baby for coming early!! He will be two weeks this Saturday and already his face is changing. There are a lot of things I don't remember from six and a half years ago. It's almost like being a new parent again. I am persistently trying to nurse as I didn't with Hola. I regret it and wish I would've tried a little harder. But this time around I'm doing it and feel a lot better about it than the first time. Zeeky's parents were able to make it down and spend the weekend with us. They are first time grandparents so it was priceless to see them with baby. I can't wait until they are able to spend more time with our little one. I just want to thank them as well as all of our other friends and family who have been very supportive and helped us throughout the pregnancy and the last couple weeks with the new arrival. We can't thank you enough and love you all very much.
