"My dear sisters, do not pray for tasks equal to your abilities, but pray for abilities equal to your tasks. Then the performance of your tasks will be no miracle, but you will be the miracle." -President Thomas S. Monson

As I realized how much time I've been wasting on pinterest (which by the way is very informative and the recipes are amazing) I thought to myself there was one web page that is always a good idea: I hopped on over there and came across a talk by President Monson, you can read it here. I hope that we can all keep in mind that we can be tools to our Heavenly Father and be the answer to other people's prayers.

I am reminded of my little sister who is an amazing example. She saw a lady struggling and went over to help. After she was done, the lady asked Mariel if she believed in Jesus. Mariel smiled and told the stranger that she did. The lady replied, "Me too and I know He sent me you to help me."

I am thankful for people like my sister who are great examples to me and show me that I must find ways to serve and to help those around me.

  1. How inspiring! I feel the same way sometimes. I read so many different books/articles and then occasionally I think, why don't I read my scriptures as long as I read other books, instead of just a chapter. Thanks for reminding me of what is important and what we should be focusing on!

  2. I spend so much time online and then realize if I spent that much time reading my scriptures, I'd be done in no time!!

  3. I'm addicted to Pinterest too, and then I feel guilty because there are so many other things I should be doing. I'm trying to do better though! I love the story you told about Mariel. :) Thank you for sharing this Talisha! You are a great example to ME! Love you

  4. Aww love you too Holli! I love pinterest but I think I'm borderline addicted! I am having a ball trying out new recipes and getting my Betty Crocker on :) I'm grateful for YOU and your wonderful spirit!!
