Another year has come and gone and I am filled with gratitude to be able to have learned so much this past year. Here is a list of things I have learned:
-to take as many photos and capture as many memories as I possibly can. They are stories of our lives. I've learned that a photo is more comforting than I thought it ever could be.
-if I don't say how I feel and stand my ground, I will be the only one left with hurt feelings.
-I'm the parent and it is my responsibility to decide what I want for my children, what they need and how to parent them. People can share their opinion and sway decisions but I've learned that in the end I need to do what I think is best for our little family.
-not to fret over how messy our place can get and how much I can't stand clutter.
-to spend less time on the internet and watching useless television shows and spend more time with my kids.
-a simple photo album can mean the world to an eight year old.
-a simple text message can brighten someone's day.
-scripture reading and prayer is ESSENTIAL. It makes my day run smoother and I just feel uplifted in every sense of the word.
-communication is key in any relationship I have. I need to realize that if I don't say how I feel to people who love me and are here to support me, they will never know how I am feeling and I will never be at peace unless I express myself.
-life is out of my control. Things happen and when things do happen, I need to change my attitude and take it in stride.
I don't know what is to come of this new year and I have stopped making resolutions out loud. I figure actions speak louder than words so I would rather not speak of it and just do it! I have a few goals in mind and am working towards them. I hope that this new year will bring you all much joy and happiness. I hope that you find time to enjoy the simple yet important things in life. Have a great weekend!
