A Detox and Insanity

If you didn't know, I was huge when I had my babies. I was 200 lbs after having Kendric and it was quite depressing.
I've always been active and was always an athlete so to hit 200 lbs and being 5"5' I was at my lowest in confidence, highest in weight! :)
When I posted this, I had lost 40 lbs. I was eating clean and it was easy because I wasn't working and being home all day allowed me to cook our meals 5 times a day when needed.
When we moved back to California, it was easy to keep up with it because I still wasn't working and in the process of looking for a job. I was able to run in the morning while the kids slept and I was able to run or workout in the late afternoon or evening because we have so much help.

I was a chunka-chunka burnin love!!
Every time I've been pregnant I have gained a lot of weight.
I was fat, unhappy and insecure.

{I participated in my first 5k, you can read about it here}
{This was after my insane insanity workout during the summer}
Since then I've lost a total of 50 lbs. But these past three weeks I've been teetering from 158 to 153. That's so bad and can only mean one thing: I AM EATING CRAPPY!
I've been trying to be better in bringing my lunch to work but sometimes I am just downright lazy.
This time around I need to be better in my food choices.
I feel like I've been doing myself no good by running and burning calories only to throw it all away by my awful food choices. So I am taking accountability and am starting fresh. This week I am doing Dr. Oz's 3 day detox so far the tea is nasty, the shake stinks but it'll be okay!
I will make sure I keep up my progress here on my blog.
Being healthy is a necessity and I want to be around for a long time so I am going to need to make some changes.
I only post this to show how far I've come. This is my motivation to keep moving and keep going. I don't ever want to look back and wish I could have done better.
I am running a 10k at Seal Beach in April and will be doing a mud run in June. I will make sure I keep you posted on all of these events.

Have a great week!

  1. I've been eating kinda crappy lately too. It really does make you feel bad after a while, doesn't it? Good luck in your 10K...that will be awesome!!

    1. It sure does! Although I would be willing to run an extra mile so I can have a couple oreos! haha jk
      Thank you, I am excited and a little nervous for my 10k. Glad I have a partner this time.
