Note to Self

I had family come in from Australia yesterday.
They went to get the (overrated) Disneyland experience and called me to see if they could stop by for a visit afterward.
It was great to see them because I hardly see them ever.
Besides my brother's wedding, the last time I saw them was in 1996.
My cousin and I were able to catch up on life in a quick few hours.
When he came to the states last time, my sister and I used to make him say, "mental" because we liked his accent and thought it was funny!
It was great having them if only for a day but I must say that I really need to go out more.
I need to find out what's in my neck of the woods.
I am not the greatest tour guide here in California.
I barely go anywhere and have very few friends here.
I keep excusing myself saying I'm still new here but let's face it, I've been in California for a couple years now so that's no excuse.

NOTE TO SELF: GET OUT AND EXPLORE YOUR SURROUNDINGS!

I'm going to challenge myself to look for new and fun places in my area.
I will find new restaurants and maybe look for a friend or two!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
I know I will.
I'm gonna try for a 10 mile run this weekend so we'll see if I fail miserably.
I'll let you know on Monday!
91 more days until my half marathon.
I am scared, nervous, excited and pumped!
What's one thing you can challenge yourself to do within the next couple of weeks?
Think about it, if you set small and simple goals, they eventually become big and great accomplishments!
Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

    1. Thanks Ashley! I looked up some things to do with my boys so this week. There's a park down the street from me that has fountains and little water toys and hoses. I think I've been living under a rock. The weather has been great so I want to take them there after work! Have a great week!
