Waves 1 Me 0

Friday after work, I met Lovey at the beach.
He told me he was going to bring our boys so I was surprised when I met up with him and no babies.
They were grumpy and had fallen asleep so my mother in-law had told Isaiah to leave them at home.
He thought this would be a perfect opportunity to have a little date night and one on one time which I was not opposed to.
We played in the water and rode the waves.
It was so much fun!
After a little while, a wave was coming towards me and I didn't anticipate it to be very strong so as it hit me, it literally took me down.
I hit my head on the sand while the wave threw my feet up in the air.
As I was being flipped like a rag doll, another wave came and went up against my back.
I heard a loud crack and before I knew it, I was flipped back onto my feet and towards the shore.
It's crazy how strong the waves are.
I was pretty freaked out and the insane thing was, this whole experience happened in less than a minute, if that.
Call me dramatic but I felt like my life flashed before my eyes.
I stood near the shore and watched my husband as he continued to ride the waves.
He had no idea what had just happened.
I was holding my back and it really felt like I had whiplash.
When we came home, I could already feel that I was going to be so sore.
I woke up the next morning hoping to get my long distance run in but I felt like I had been hit by a bus so I had to cancel my run.
I'm still a bit sore but if it wasn't for this bad boy, I would most likely be in much more pain than I am in now.

For those who are just getting into working out and are feeling really sore, the foam roller is a life saver!
Up until a little over a year ago, I had no idea what it was.
My Lovey had introduced me to it and told me to roll my body on it to loosen my muscles.
At first I thought he was crazy and how could a rolling pin look alike help my body.
Boy, was I wrong!!
It has done wonders for me especially after my little incident over the weekend.
I promise you, for all of you starting your fit journey, it is a must have and is definitely worth buying!
What did you do this weekend?
Was it life threatening like mine? haha I hope not!
Also what are your most favorite fitness products or exercises?
I'm always down to find new things to try and use.
Hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday.
