August's Favorite Things

Joining my friend Ashley for August's favorite things link-up.
August went by way too fast but then again I think I say that with every month!
Here are some of my favorite things that happened:

I got to go to Utah for a day and saw this handsome guy

He is so goofy and is always making the craziest faces.
While in Utah I got to workout out with my good friend Celia.
She kicked my butt and one day I will have buff arms like her.
Mine are a work in progress so don't look at them! :)
The reason I came to Utah was for these two!

{Just a few of my cousins. Brodie Tory, Dennis, sissy Mariel, Myra, Chelsea, Julia and me}

{This isn't even half of our family. Big families ROCK!}

{My sissy Mariel and my partner in crime, Nina}

I couldn't have missed watching these two get sealed in the Bountiful Temple for all time and eternity.
It has definitely been a blessing to have such a wonderful sister in-law as Lori.
She is sweet, genuine and humble.
The perfect woman for my brother and I couldn't be happier.
Now multiply and replenish so I can be an Auntie!!
I have also been trying to get my boys on a regular schedule and putting them to bed early and in their own room.
I'm not going to lie.
It's been rough but I need to get this routine down now before the munchkins start school.
It's definitely great for my sanity and Lovey and I actually get time to ourselves and plenty of room on our bed.
In putting them on a better schedule, I've been trying to take them out to the park, play outside and burn up as much energy so they can be worn out by 8 PM.
I know I will stay consistent, just need to get everyone else on board with this new routine especially Jack!
He makes up the craziest excuses whenever it's time to go into their room.
I can only imagine what he'll do when he starts school!
Anyway, I am excited for my three day weekend and hope you are too.
Enjoy it, it's going to be a hot one in California.

  1. It's always hard getting back into a good routine after summer time.

    I agree...big families do rock!

    And now you need to come to NC so we can work out together!!
